I have 3 wax begonias in my house, all were doing perfect. I just noticed a couple of days ago that my red one is going mushy on me. The big stem part of it has turned brown and is literally flopping over. Of course the flowers and leaves are starting to wilt too.

Is there anything I can do to save this plant? I have it getting bright but not direct sunlight, and I water it once a week.

Begonias are not great indoor plants unless you have a very sunny window to locate them.

The lack of direct sun combined with weekly watering has probably caused the roots to rot.

You can try cutting off all of the affected stems, moving it to a sunny spot, and never watering until the top half-inch of soil is dry.
