Holes in yard along house foundation

I live in a mobile home and now that the snow has melted I see several 2-3 inch holes close to the houses foundation (skirting). Something is digging to get under the skirting to get under my house. There are some places in this area of the lawn that look like tunneling that is close to the surface. I have pictures. What do I do? I appreciate any help that anyone can offer. Thanks so much.

Hi, morem.....
First of all...WELCOME TO THE FORUM!
...and since I don't have any idea what kind of little animals are in Minnesota, I can't answer this.
Are your pictures on a photo hosting site...like Photobucket ...where you can share them with us? That might make it easier for someone in your area to identify your culprit!

Buckle up! It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car!

I just have the pics on my computer, I don't know how to post the pics! Help

First of all, you have to upload your pictures to a photo hosting site. Most of the members here use Photobucket.
When you have the picture uploaded to Photobucket, it's very easy to post it here. I will help you with that after you get your picture uploaded there.
Photobucket is easy to use, and it's free.
It just takes a minute to sign up there and start adding your photos.
Just let me know when you have your picture there, and I'll tell you how to post it here.
If you are new to uploading, etc. a member here has a tutorial on how to use Photobucket...
Here's the link to it... Mary's Photobucket Tutorial
We are here to help...just let us know if you need it!

Hey there morem. Looking around, I see that Voles are pretty common in your area. Hopefully you can get a pic of the tunnels and someone will be able to tell you for sure.
We used to drown our critters (ground squirrels)out by putting a hose down a hold and turning it on full blast. Often you get something scampering out of the hole so stand back!

We are all under the same stars... therefore we are never far apart.

There are 3 lines under the image in Photobucket...Url, Tag and Img.
Copy/Paste the bottom line (Img) directly into your reply...

Hey, morem...you did it!
The second picture was too large, so I had to delete it (the picture size limit is 640X 480)...but very good for the first try!
Way to go!

I get holes like that from my cute little chipmunks! if there is a lot of snow they will tunnel under the snow and make marks in the grass! That looks more like a mole though, Looks like it is under the grass...

What should I do to get rid of them?
by The Plant Doc on April 11, 2006 09:08 AM
If they are burrowing under your trailor, dig a trench around it about 2 feet deep, and lay some fine wire mesh screen. Do not use chicken wire, it may be cheaper, but the little critters would probably fit through the holes. If they dig any deeper then 2 feet to get under it, either start charging them rent or claim them as dependents!

That is not an option. I am trying to stop the hole digging. Besides that wouldn't be the most attractive landscaping around my home

You could try a live trap and relocate them to a nice park
