What's the difference in a Pebble Tray and putting some pebbles and water in the bottom of the tray you have for that pot?

A pebble tray is usually much larger than a pot saucer. I have a 4" pot sitting on an 8" pebble tray.

a plain ole pebble tray may attract a wet butterfly looking to dry a bit.
a tray of pebbles with water will give humidity to your plant setting on it& your plant becomes happy mostt the time.(just so pot is not sitting IN the water its ON the pebbles with the water.)

I will age ungracefully until I become an old woman in a small garden..doing whatever the Hell I want!
