My large jade plant has a coating on some of it's leaves that looks like they were sprayed with hairspray. The thin whitish powdery flakes fall to the table below and are NOT sticky. What is this and how do I fix it?

Does this stuff just kinda appear? Did it have that stuff when you bought it?

What i'm thinking is that its probably your fertalizer, or water. When you water your plants with water that has mineral deposits, or fertalizer in it, the water will evaporate, leaving spots behind.

My begonia had those i think. Can you peel it off? I could peel the stuff off my begonia.

Hope that helps [Smile]
