Several months ago, I saved a dying dieff from my neighbor's trash. It has since put out a lot of new growth, and a lot of curled up leaves that have yet to open. Unfortunately, looking at it today, I noticed what I believe to be mealy bugs all inside the curled up leaves. Any Ideas as to how to get them gone? It's also got a lot of what looks like large white dust particles in the same areas, as well as small black particles. Any clue what those are? Thanks for any help in advance.

Yuck! I hate mealy bugs and am dealing with them myself right now. There is a ton of info about them on the web, but here is a quick link for you to get started. Nip it in the bud, so to speak, before they take over! No, I'm being dramatic, you'll be fine as long as you are methodical in your annihilation of them. Good luck!
