Hi All [Wink]
Is there such thing as misting a plant too much? I give mine a misting almost every other day. Also, my Dumbcane only has 3 leaves, another on the way and one growing away from the cane. Is the one "away" from the cane going to be a new cane? Also, this morning I notice the largest leaf has 2 or 3 spots underneath it as if it had been scorched by heat yet no type of heater is even in the room. What could it be and how tall can I expect for this plant to get?

1. No, you can't mist too much, although it is not likely to do much for the plants.

2. I don't know what you mean by "growing away."

3. The leaf spots may be caused by improper watering, using hard water, or using too much fertilizer.

4. Depending on the variety of Dieffenbachia, it might stop at 18 inches or it may grow to reach your ceiling, if it doesn't fall over first.
