Yikes! Helen called me outside today - all excited - because the rhododendron is starting to bloom!!! Dang weather tricked it I guess -- so if it blooms now, will it still bloom in the spring?
Looks to me like my hydrangea is trying to bloom again too (Nikko blue) but it could just be next years buds - not sure - it's my first year with it, so I dunno.

I know the Rhodie's put the buds on for next year, this year.. I have a ton of buds on mine, but they will stayed wrapped up tight for the winter.... And when it's really cold out side, frigid temps, the leaves will curl under and down... reserving it's heat against the cold....
Not sure about the hydrangea??? ???
