I HAD TO MOVE MY CLEMATIS TODAY (MAY 21) TO PUT UP A NEW FENCE. THEY ARE SEVERAL YEARS OLD AND HAD QUITE A FEW BUDS ON THEM. HAVE I KILLED THEM???? THANKS

[dunno] Only you will know for sure [thinker] . Its always tricky moving this Gem no matter what time of year. Remember, keep the roots well mulched [teacher] and give em plenty of sunshine.

Hi Matilda. I don't know much about growing clematis at all, but I found some info you might find interesting. Log onto:

It kind of sounds like transplanting should be done before new growth appears. I sure hope yours does okay! Sue
