the little tag says it is Den. Thongchai Gold "Kanokporn" i have no idea what that means, lol.

i'm just wondering if it would be happy in the turarium that i am planning. i want orchids, african violets, and some other things, maybe some ferns and moss.

oh, also, would it be better to water with my very hard tap water (not softened at all) that's got chlorine and chloramines in it, or collect rain water to water my turarium plants with (with ferts added when needed)

I don't know orchids but use distilled water (or rain, check the pH) in any closed system to prevent rapid and toxic build up of whatever's in your tap water.
