Debbie- there are lots of plants that can take heat......I'm going to move your post to the plants and flowers section where everyone can give you more replies okay? Welcome to the forum!

PS...My fav. heat tolerant plants are portulacas and cosmos!

first thought that came to mind was hibiscus, draceana, and plumeria.... just off the top of my head.

Also, bananas, palms, tree ferns, elephant ears, bougainvilleas, cliveas, bamboos, cannas, and heliconias among others. All are tropical plants and should be suitable for your climate.
