Hi

I have some beautiful hardy mums that have gotten quite large and present a spectacular display of color. My question is this. My mother says to keep picking the buds off all summer to prevent them from blooming too soon. I have been doing this all summer and new buds continue to form. When exactly do I stop picking them off so that I do have fall blooming? Thank you. Donna

A lot of my hardy mums never came back up for some reason this year......I pinched mine until oh, the middle of August...they are just producing teeny tiny buds right now.......
