Hi all. Just joined the group and I already have a problem. I have a Walnut tree in my side yard that seems to be losing it's bark all around the trunk. ....see picture.

What I want to know, is this a normal occurance, or some type of disease?

I have lived here for 20 years and have not seen this happen before to this extent. The whole bottom of the tree seems to be losing it's bark. The tree doesn't seem to be bearing any walnuts this year either, although this has happened before. Thanks for any help.

Harry
