I have a large silver maple tree under which I have always planted some sort of annual flower each summer. However, the tree has gotten so dense that no sun gets underneath and consequently, I can't get any flowers to thrive. I would like to plant some sort of ground cover, but I am not sure what would do well under this tree. Also, do I plant now or wait until spring? I live in NE Ohio. Thank you. Donna
