landscaping a natural pond?

we have a pond, its probably a quarter acre. we purchased the land in 2000 and I havent landscaped it yet. Im wondering what I can plant on the berm that wont be invasive to the natural wetland surroundings. Im in zone 5/6.

I'd google your local cooperative extension or dep. Ask for non invasive species. You can look whats growing nearby and copy it. If you go native, wildlife will use your pond lots too.
