Hey everybody [muggs]

How and when can I collect seeds from my hardy dwarf asters??????? [dunno]

Also, when can I dig up my canna lilly bulbs? So that I can seperate them????

If you let your callas go dormant then right b4 frost,but if are doing the greenhouse/houseplant thinggy then when night temps drop below 50.
Asters are like mums when flowers fade break one open and crumble some and see if seeds are ready if are pick um dry um store um.I'm going to start some asters this fall 3 kinds.you can propagte the cuttings same as mums and make more plants [grin] what color ya got?how tall they get for ya?

Thanks for the info.

My Asters are the hardy dwarf variety. I have one pink? and 3 lavender/purple. I will start collecting seeds this weekend.

One ? you said when the seeds are ready. If the dead bloom crumbles in your hand, does that mean the seeds are ready???? And my Canna lillies are outdoor plants, I bring nothing inside, unless I want that plant to die. [Big Grin]
