my moss phlox was beautiful while it was in flower, but now that flowers are gone the plant takes up alot of room that i would like to set annuals in. Can I prune it back? If so how much can I cut it back? Its june 14th, I don't want to disrupt next fowering season- thanks for any advice-susan

Hi Susan! Just wanted to say welcome to the forum! I'm not sure about your phlox - I have some too, but they're not in any space I need. Someone will be along soon I'm sure to answer your question - I'll be watching too so that I can add it to my always-growing gardening journal!

I have had the same condition for a few years now too, and am anxiously awaiting some knowledgable person's answer!
