Several chipmunks have been eating, or chewing off and scattering flowers in our garden. Mostly they are gerbera daisy and a few other similar type flowering plants. Any suggestions on how we can kindly discourage them?? Tahnks for any help. [wavey]

You may want to set up a feeder for the chipmunks -- try leaving out a dish of peanuts or other nutty morsels. They should be more interested in the easy pickings than the flowers. I don't have many chipmunks in my neighbourhood, but have a gaggle of squirrels and the feeder has worked wonders for the garden. The neighbours were even commenting how few of their bulbs they lost this year.

Although my problem now is that I've got peanuts buried all throughout my yard! lol

Our neighborhood squirrels will also eat stale bread. I'm wondering which critter got to the sunflower seeds. Is that the squirrels or the birds? And how do they get to the seeds?
