I have a question about my purple passion plant. Why is it that when I put it outside where in direct sunlight it wilts?? But then when I bring it back inside it seems to be ok. I thought purple passions liked direct sunlight. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

they will grow in full sun or partial shade. They like moisture& when freshly transplanted is important to keep moist cause they dislike moveing.maybe try aclimateing it durring a rainy period& mulch it so will retain moisture.

I love the fruits...are tastey but skimpy on the fruits.

They like lots of moisture. A couple of years ago I inadvertently "fried" a purple passion by leaving out in hot (100+F) sun too long.

Thanks for the info. I think that the purple passion likes direct sun in moderation. On the weekends I put it in the morning sun, for about 21/2 hours. It seems to like it, and thrives quite well. I don't put it outside all day, it wilts.
