Yesterday on a trip to Home Depot, my daughter and I had to "pass through" the garden center (where we rescued a couple of plants that badly needed a drink), which of course meant we had to stand and stare at the fountains and all the other water garden paraphernalia.

At which point my sweet girl noticed the picture on the box of a waterfall kit.... Those pictures are killer!

Next thing I know, she has decided that she, her brother, and her boyfriend (who has previous pond experience from building one on his farm in NY with his parents) will build me another pond for my birthday. Of course with funding from Dad. The boys all agreed (even Dad), and she is so psyched!

And I am happy, because after all this time, my kids finally want to do something in a garden!
