I took a cinnamon basil cutting back awhile ago. It's still alive but it's trying to produce flowers. Do I pinch it back? I don't want to kill it but I don't want it to flower either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would pinch it back....Is it rooted or do you know? If you pinch it back it should make a bushier plant and put off new branches.

I'm not sure it has rooted yet. It's only been a few days. I pinched it back and it hasn't died so I have my fingers and toes crossed that it does well.

Crossing fingers for you Tammy, if it hasn't rooted yet, then pinching the flower buds off will allow it to put out roots instead of using its energy on making the flowers, Ok... I'm alittle [nutz] nutty today, [angel] I admit I have been sniffing the Basil [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]
