a friend at work says every year her husband plants more squash (from seed) after the original summer squash is gone so they have squash until Thanksgiving unless it gets real cold (which usually doesn't happen around here). Has anyone done this?

We are in WI, and we just re-planted beans-Sqaush and herbs...Squash is really hardy and takes cool weather well...
