I bought a Hyacinth and it has a vase type thing you start it in. You are supposed to put the bulb ib there, water it, and then leave it in a dark cool spot for two weeks. OK. Got that. It then says that when it gets to two inches high, that it will need a 10 week "cooling" period. What the heck does that mean? When it gets to the 2" height, do I bring it out and let it get sun?
I'm so confused.

I put mine in the refrigerater for the cold period, then take it out and put it in a sunny window. I've heard others put them in their unheated basement.
