YUM ! Yay !
For lunch today, made my Sloppy Joes special by adding some sauteed bell pepper picked from my container garden right before I made the sauce.
My first-ever bell pepper !!!!! What fun ! [grin] [flower]

My peppers are only as big as a marble right now.

Question? Were your peppers california wonder?

Sounds appropiate......

Thanks, Bad Planter and LOL, Dodge !
I don't know what they were, it was a single plant in the garden center with no tag.
But it probably is a California Wonder, because our nurseries tend to sell the more common varieties.
I'm having the leftovers tonight ! [grin]

That's great Deborah! I picked a couple jalapenos today but like Dodge, my green peppers are only the size of marbles. Can't wait though! Good luck with the rest of the crop!

lol my pepper plants are JUST NOW flowering *CRIES!!!*
by Deborah L. on July 04, 2006 04:14 PM
Thanks, Christina and Danno.
I cheated though-bought a plant that was already crowding its nursery pot.
And...... it already had two little teeny peppers on it. I confess...
But what a hoot anyway to get one to grow large and actually get to cook it and eat it.
My first ever !
I have yellow pear tomatoes now, too, tiny ones, awfully cute.
