When top-dressing a lawn after power-raking, how much soil (top-dress) should be put on? Should it be just a thin layer, or about an inch?
The grass itself is in generally good shape, but some spots are more moss than grass.

A light covering (1/4") of manure, compost or good topsoil is all that should be needed in a single year.
