Any problems I'm gonna run into if i plan some tomatos in the flower beds?I'm actually just eyeballing one area.I've not actually sown it this year its just them windblown rita drifters.zinnias, orange cosmos,a few salvia& the basils that have sprouted in yard I've relocated them here.I'd just like to toss about 9 plants over here.I didn't know I'd have such good luck with my seeds for tomatoes. I been busy in the yard also so will be a few days before I return to read back.

No problems i can think of. The basil plants will help the tomatoes and make them taste better. The flowers will increase the bee activity in the area and may increase pollination. You'll need to stake them if they are a vine type or they'll ramble thru your flowers.

i don't have too large a lawn so i've always had my tomato and pepper plants in the flower bed...i keep all the vegy's and herbs in one area.

Shouldn't be any problems other than needing to support them by staking or caging depending on the variety you choose to grow.

Thats kool....cause seems I'll NEVER get around to doing the gardenbed for them veggies.I have tidied up my pile to burn of last years veggie mess& even mowed around it.they are not vineing types.most are my store-bought seed sprouts& a 6 pack of big red&I'd have to go all the way out back to see name of the other.
I have tomato cages....but have them strung with christmas lights for imitation trees& the good one is around my catmint cause the cat found the catmint(don't rake catmint when cats in yard watching you)I got bamboo stakes and can get more.

ya'll made my day.
