Hi all. I am a relatively new vegetable gardener and was hoping to experiment with a cover crop over the winter. I was hoping a few could offer their experience with the various options availible. I was thinking of ordering the seed mix that Johnny's sells which is a combination of winter rye, hairy vetch and a couple others. Thanks.

I'm not sure about your climate and stuff John, but it all sounds good tome. I have even used old birdseed and dug it back in once it is lush. It's all good stuff.
