I have a Love lies bleeding plant about 3 foot tall and just starting to show its first tassle of bloom ( I started from seed)
The upper top leaves have 'chomp' marks in them around the edges. I have used the citrus soap, neem spray and green light organic plant and flower spray for bugs and insects to no avail.. [Eek!] tonight I noticed more 'chomping in the middle of the stock on the outer leaves.. could this possible be from grasshoppers?? Tho I haven't seen any around doesn't mean there isn't any right?? Someone at work told me that's the mark of grasshopers,, But this person doesn't have a garden either and doesn't know what love lies bleeding is so I need to ask here,, to confirm,,

Does anyone know what insect(s) marks a plant like that and what can I do ?? I really don't want to lose this plant,, I got the seeds from a member here and surely this plant is special [Love] and would love to have it around for more than a 3 foot growth [tears]

My kiss me over the garden gate, sprung holes.. I found japanese beetles on that.. I picked them and put them in a jar to die......
I tried spray and it did nothing.......

So I will keep picking ,,,,cheaper..
