can anyone tell me about asiatic lilys, do they only bloom in the spring or do they bloom all summer? NEED HELP!!!!

I have some yellow Asiatic Lilies in my garden....they bloom in very early summer and then that's it for the year.......once the flower drops off they don't come back again until the next year. The flowers are very beautiful, and worth having in your garden--but they don't last all that long really--a few weeks at most I believe. My mom has tons of orange ones planted in a long row off of the back porch....they look spectacular like that....planted in a large group. Once the flower falls off and it dies down you could plant some annuals in that spot....that's what mom does. [thumb]
