Phyllis has an email ?:

I have to transplant an aloe vera houseplant that looks so bad. It is 22 years old as well as a snake plant.
First the aloe plant, it has 6 plants on it, but the roots below the plants are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter, and look woody, like a tan film over it. Can you help me on the transplanting of this?
Now the snake plant, it is pot bound and reachs the ceiling almost, i am not sure how to seperate this in to 3 different pots and the right soil mixture for them both, also, watering alot to prevent shock and losing them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The weather is in the 50's this week, and is it to late to repot now as no flowers on either now.
Thank You, Phyllis
