hey all hope all your gardening is going well.

i have a norfolk island pine that i bought at stop and shop around x-mas time. it was cute, they had maroon bows on it. well anyhoo, there are about 4 trees in one 16" pot. the trees are about 2 1/2 feet tall. i was wondering if i should move them all to their own pots? i did have to cut one down to nothing due to it having dried out completely. the others are doing ok but im worried that they may be too crowded [scaredy]
any ideas [thinker] will be greatly appreciated
thanx [Eek!]

HI [wayey] This is just my opinion i would move them to separate pots or plant them.they would do better separated.the root system on them would be a lot more healthy and they would not crowd each other so they would branch out better heres a link i found for you.

[wayey] MIKE,
thats what i was thinking myself but i wasn't too sure if it would harm the individual plants because they are in a tight 4" group.
i'll try to do the individual pot idea and let you know how they turn out [grin]
thanks for your reply mike

if they are in that tight of a group, i'd just leave them so as to not damage the tangled roots.
