Purchased boston fern in May and have only been watering, misting, fertilizing, and of course providing with good light. Is it ok to add some potting mix to the top? The soil that's been in it since I've had it seems to be getting low and of course I'm afraid to try my bad luck on repotting yet.

that would make the plant happy.rich humusy soil they like.
I need to get me another one...but will wait till porch is built.
