Something's eating my shamrock

I was given a shamrock as a gift about a year ago. Through some trial and error, I have managed to convince my little irish girl to explode. However, recently, I have noticed some of the older leaves are browning around the edges and a few leaves have holes in them as though someone has been munching upon them. I have also noticed these same holes in some ofthe new growth underneath the canopy. Is there a particular pest that takes up residence in shamrocks or just any old squatter? And what can I do to get rid of it?
